This dashboard was created using SQL and Power BI and provides a comprehensive overview of key data insights. It seamlessly integrates data from various sources, allowing the use of visualization trends and patterns effectively. With interactive features, viewers can drill down into specific data points for deeper analysis. This powerful tool enhances decision-making by presenting data in a clear and engaging format.
Pre-Project
In order for a project to begin, guiding questions are either offered by a client or questions are strategically developed to ensure that the project is developed with meaningful direction to a specific goal. For this project the following inquiries were made:
1. What types of riders are providing this ride share program the most profit?
2. What times of day are the profitable?
3. What days of the week are most profitable?
4. Which year was the most revenue earned?
5. Would it be feasible to increase ridership program fees?
Outcome
The most important way to determine if the project is complete is to ensure that all inquiry question were answered from the resulting visual.
In this case all but one question was answered with the visual. The last question required reviewing the original data and finding the cost of ridership for each year. The ridership plans were already increased by $1 at the end of 2021. Even though there was an increase in cost, the platform saw ridership increase. Increasing the cost by another $1 should not affect the ridership platform negatively. Additional analysis would be needed to determine the highest amount that could be charged without negatively affecting profits or reducing the number of participants.
